8 WAYS TO IMPROVE YOUR RELATIONSHIP

8 tips to improve your RELATIONSHIP

All relationships need a little pick-me-up sometimes–even the best of them. If you feel like your relationship isn’t quite what it used to be, here are some things you can do to improve it and keep your fire burning.

1. Improve your communication
There is nothing more important in a relationship than communication. The more you communicate with your woman, the less likely the two of you will get into arguments because you both will be able to talk about your problems instead of holding them in. Remember, if you can’t communicate, you can’t even begin to support one another in a relationship.

2. Take responsibility for your own happiness
This means taking responsibility for your own feelings and needs instead of trying to get your partner to make you feel happy and secure. Learn to treat yourself with kindness, compassion and acceptance instead of self-judgment. Don’t lose yourself just because you are in a relationship.

3. Show her gratitude instead of complaining
Practice being grateful for what you have rather than focusing on what you don’t have. Constant complaining creates more stress in a relationship, while gratitude creates emotional, spiritual and physical health.

4. Laugh together
Mutual laughter is an essential component of a strong and healthy relationship. Romance is much better if you can see humor in the little things and can have a laugh together. So, make a conscious effort to incorporate more humor and play into your daily interactions with your woman and be willing to make a fool of yourself sometimes just to put a smile on her face.

5. Set common goals together
Look for anything that’s common between the two of you and talk about ways to work toward that aspiration together. Sit down with your partner and set new goals., i.e health, comfort, happiness and so on. Share what you want your life to be about, where you want to end up and what these things mean to you.

6. Give her some space
When you love someone, you want to spend as much time with them as possible; however, it’s equally important to have some space and to spend some time apart every once in a while. Being apart not only allows you some freedom, but it will also allow the two of you to miss each other and is an ideal way to keep your relationship interesting.

7. Be spontaneous
You can ensure that romance never goes out of your relationship by doing things like sending her flowers for no reason, writing her a love note, or preparing her favorite meal for her when she least expects it. Being spontaneous also means trying new things out of the ordinary together to keep the relationship interesting.

8. Improve your sex life
If you really want to give your relationship staying power, give a little extra effort in the bedroom. There is no limit to the number of ways to have sex, so use your imagination and come up with as many new positions as you desire. There is always something that you haven’t tried, so don’t be afraid to mix things up in bed and awaken her sexuality.

DOES ANYONE KNOW?

Greetings MET,

As always I’m reaching out to the #1 blog source for all things dancehall & Jamaica. Love the improvements to the site…the 2012 voting is a great idea!

My question….

Do you know EXACTLY how a letter should be addressed to an inmate being held at the Horizon Adult remand centre in Kingston? Does it have to be addressed to the remandee c/o the superintendent or just the remandee.

EXAMPLE: or nix the superindentant info? I’ve been addressing it directly to the remandee

Attention Remandee: John Smith
C/O: Superindentant X
Horizon Adult Remand Centre
68 Spanish Town Road
Kingston 11 W.I.

I’ve been writing to Jamaica and only recently discovered after the fact that I was not addressing the mail correctly, causing obvious delays in delivery to the recipient.

It’s a simple thing but it’s amazing that you cannot get a clear & consistent answer when you contact Horizon or DSC head office on the appropriate way to address a letter to a remandee.

The rules on correspondents to remandees/inmates is not available on the DSC site and calling DSC only gets you 10 different answers . Calling Horizon directly only gets you vague cryptic responses referring you back to the DSC head office.

Any specific info confirming how to address a letter from yourself or any of your readers; who have actually written to someone in remand and confirmed the receipt by the remandee would be tremendously appreciated.

Another tidbit….delivery time of a simple us regular international priority mailed letter to Jamdung is also an experience in patience and mystery. It’s improved as you responded to my then question a few months back but depending on WHO its’s addressed too, which in my case has taken much longer to be received by the recipients and seems to be inconsistent .

You would think mail being sent to a government operated facility too an obvious public figure would not take weeks to be received ….fausness is at an all-time high ( it’s only about biz opportunities people)

Continued success on your blog for the new year and much prosperity for the holidays!

WHAT IS JOKE TO YOU……….

Kate Prank Call Nurse ’Commits Suicide’
Sky News – 19 minutes ago.. .

A nurse working at the hospital treating the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge, who was duped by a prank phone call, has died in a suspected suicide.

Jacintha Saldanha, 46, who has worked at the hospital for four years, was found dead at an address near King Edward VII’s hospital in London on Friday morning.

The hospital confirmed she had been the victim of a hoax call in which two Australian DJs, pretending to be the Queen and Prince of Wales, phoned up about Kate.

Ms Saldanha, a mother of two, received the call and put it through to the ward where another nurse updated the pair on the Duchess, who was being treated for severe morning sickness.

Sky News crime correspondent Martin Brunt said the nurse was from Bristol and has a son and a daughter. ”The hospital had not suspended Ms Saldanha, nor disciplined her,” he added.

Her family said in a statement: ”We as a family are deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved Jacintha.”

The owners of the radio station say the two DJs behind the call are ”deeply shocked” by the tragedy. They have been dropped from their show until further notice amid a major backlash.

Kate, who is understood to be well under 12 weeks pregnant, was admitted to the hospital on Monday after falling ill over the weekend and released again on Thursday.

The Duchess and her husband, William, the Duke of Cambridge, said in a statement that they were ”deeply saddened” by the nurse’s death.

”Their Royal Highnesses were looked after so wonderfully well at all times by everybody at King Edward VII Hospital, and their thoughts and prayers are with Jacintha Saldanha’s family, friends and colleagues at this very sad time,” they said.

A St James’s Palace spokesman added: ”At no point did the Palace complain to the hospital about the incident. On the contrary, we offered our full and heartfelt support to the nurses involved and hospital staff at all times.”

The King Edward VII Hospital said: ”It is with very deep sadness that we confirm the tragic death of a member of our nursing staff, Jacintha Saldanha.

”Jacintha has worked at the King Edward VII’s Hospital for more than four years. She was an excellent nurse and well-respected and popular with all of her colleagues.

”We can confirm that Jacintha was recently the victim of a hoax call to the hospital. The hospital had been supporting her throughout this difficult time.”

Hospital chief executive John Lofthouse said: ”Our thoughts and deepest sympathies at this time are with her family and friends. Everyone is shocked by the loss of a much-loved and valued colleague.”

Lord Glenarthur, the hospital’s chairman, said: ”This is a tragic event. Jacintha was a first class nurse who cared diligently for hundreds of patients during her time with us. She will be greatly missed.”

Dr Peter Carter, chief executive and general secretary of the Royal College of Nursing, added: ”This is tragic news, and the thoughts of all at the Royal College of Nursing go to the family of Jacintha Saldanha.

”It is deeply saddening that a simple human error due to a cruel hoax could lead to the death of a dedicated and caring member of the nursing profession.”

Police were called to the address at 9.35am on Friday after a report about a woman found unconscious. Paramedics rushed to the property but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: ”Inquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances of the incident. The death is not being treated as suspicious at this stage.”

Michael Christian and Mel Greig, DJs on the 2DayFM radio station, broadcast their call to the hospital on Wednesday morning.

Greig, impersonating the Queen, asked to speak to her ”granddaughter Catherine” and managed to persuade Ms Saldanha to put her through to the ward where Kate was being treated.

The security breach was deeply embarrassing for the hospital, which is the medical institution of choice for the Royal Family.

The DJs apologised for the prank after an initial furore but later took to Twitter to brag of their success – calling it the ”easiest prank call ever made”.

Following Ms Saldanha’s death, the radio station’s owners said: ”Southern Cross Austereo and 2Day FM are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the death of nurse Jacintha Saldanha from King Edward VII’s Hospital and we extend our deepest sympathies to her family and all that have been affected by this situation around the world.

”Chief Executive Officer Rhys Holleran has spoken with the presenters, they are both deeply shocked and at this time we have agreed that they not comment about the circumstances.

”SCA and the hosts have decided that they will not return to their radio show until further notice out of respect for what can only be described as a tragedy.”

MAVADO WILL ALSO BE IN THE HOUSE!

Bogdanovich – File

Sting 2012 co-producer Josef Bogdanovich believes that he can convince members of the middle class and upper middle class to attend this year’s staging of the Sting concert because of the incredible wholesome appeal of Busy Signal, and the theatricality and fun-loving entertainment that this year’s showcase will offer on December 26th.

“This year’s Sting will be celebrating the release of Busy Signal, his only concert of the year , and his first in four and a half years in Jamaica. If you are saving your money for one party or show for the holidays, then Sting is the place to be. Busy Signal is going to pack people into the venue who have never been to Sting before. Just to see his first performance in Jamaica. We expect a bonanza online through live streaming,” he said.

Busy Signal, who is known for the monster hits Nah Go A Jail Again, Step Out, Not Going Down and covers of international hits One More Night and Night Shift, is anticipating a huge response at Sting 2012.

The artiste had been sentenced to six months in prison after pleading guilty to absconding bail, but only served two months as he had already spent four months in jail awaiting his trial.

“Busy Signal could get the loudest ovation of the night when he walks out for the first time on a stage on Jamaican soil in almost five years, especially after his recent ordeal. It is going to be one of those landmark moments in dancehall. No one who is a true dancehall fan will want to miss that, plus Busy has a broader appeal with women and the middle class that is undeniable because of the quality of his songs,” Bogdanovich said.

He said that there would also be a “serious upgrade to the sound, stage, and lighting” to heighten the excitement of the occasion.

big contingency

Busy Signal

“Come and rep your parish for the artiste that represents you. We expect a big contingency from MoBay, Ocho Rios, Kingston, Spanish Town and Portmore. Bring your girl and party straight from 8 p.m to 8 a.m. Busy will perform at 12:45 a.m. It’s going to be a wild night,” he said.

Bogdanovich, who comes from a Hollywood background where he worked on independent films and scripts, is relying on theatrical hi-jinks and showmanship to entertain the hordes of patrons this year.

“This year, we are doing the clash like pro wrestling in tag team style, with Merciless teamed with Matterhorn vs Ninjaman and Kiprich. They will go at it with both sides allowed one extra person of their choice to help out if they choose. It’s going to be high-flying entertainment on Boxing Day,” Bogdanovich said.

WTF AFRICA- SCALED FOR MIDNIGHT CALL

NJUBE man in the city was left nursing Wounds after his enraged wife scalded him while he was in a deep slumber.

The man, Gilbert Khoza, was allegedly accused of cheating by his wife Siphiwe Khoza.

This was after his wife answered his cellphone in the middle of the night and discovered that it was from a suspected girlfriend.

Khoza was asleep and could not respond to his suspected lover’s call.

According to a source close to the family, Khoza arrived home drunk on the day in question. He did not switch off his mobile phone before retiring to bed.

“During the night, the phone rang and was answered by his wife who later learnt it was her husband’s mistress,” said the source.

The mistress, it seems revealed her affair after being subjected to tough questions by Siphiwe.

It was not good news for the woman as it seemed it was something she least expected from her husband.

“Siphiwe, acting out of fury, boiled water and scalded her husband waking him up in the process. Khoza was burnt all over the body,” said the source.

The fuming woman then told Khoza about the phone call that had got him into trouble.

“I understand Khoza was in serious pain to try and defend himself.

“On the following day, he even refused to go to the hospital citing that by so doing it would be as good as reporting his wife to the police,” said the source.

Khoza is nursing his wounds at home, sources said.

When Khoza was contacted for comment he could neither confirm nor deny the allegations.

“We had a small misunderstanding with my wife, but now everything is back to normal.”
