CMG 8TH ANNUAL MEMORIAL DAY MAY 27, 2013 BBQ
Queens, NY (Shuzzr & Mpr Consulting) – 19 days to go until CMG officially kicks off the summer season with their 8th annual Memorial Day BBQ on May 27th, 2013. Through the years CMG & Raygan Entertainment have pride themselves in delivering quality events. Regrettably they have announced that dancehall and reggae star Christopher Martin will NOT be hosting the event as previously announced.
Months ago after an initial agreement with the artist’s booking agent/publicist, fliers and promotions was kicked in high gear for the anticipated event. Unfortunately CMG & Raygan Entertainment were recently contacted by the booking agent with a change in agreement, but declined to the new last minutes terms. It is therefore with regret that they announce that Christopher Martin will not be in attendance. “We are fans of Christopher Martin and his music but sometimes in business things change last minute, it is very unfortunate. We are working as we speak to bring fans another dancehall/reggae star that will be announced shortly, but if you’ve been to our parties then you know the vibes go on regardless of who hosts, the star is an added treat but the people make the vibes!” states Richie CMG
The annual event has grown bigger and better with each passing year, and for 2013 CMG in association with Raygan Entertainment have teamed up with Irie Jam Media Group to be the official after party for the annual Irie Jam Radio Celebrity Soccer Match.
For the past 8 years party goers have danced and mingled amongst various celebrities and artists, partied from dusk till dawn, were treated to impromptu surprise performances, giveaways and much more. As the official after party for the Irie Jam Celebrity Soccer match this event is sure to be star studded so come early and party responsibly!
Music will be provided top DJs and sound systems such as Super Claude by Afrique Sound, Supa Hype from Jamaica, Stretch from Road International, DJ Frass Vybz, Prezi from 13 Squad, DJ Pow and Soultech.
The indoor/outdoor event takes place at Mink 187-30 Jamaica avenue in Queen Village, NY. Doors open at 6pm until… CMG would like to thanks its sponsors: Cliquers Beauty Salon, Shevvy Unique Beauty Salon, Lornas Fine Dining and Humbles Promotion.

The hair industry is a multi-billion dollar a year industry and about 90 percent of its loyal client base is made up of black women. In spite of this fact, that black women make up such a staggering amount of those that use hair extensions, the business aspect itself is dominated by Asians. For years Koreans have owned and operated the business of supplying hair extensions to black women. Which begs the question, if black women are the primary users of these products, how come black women aren’t directly involved in the business of supplying it to themselves?
Recently, a few black women have decided to make their mark in the hair industry and have started directly sourcing and importing high-end hair extensions from India, Cambodia, Brazil and other countries. These visionary women are intent on turning this into a true “used by us, supplied by us” kind of industry. One of these pioneering women is London Banks, the founder of London’s Luxury Hair Collection. She recently launched a high-end luxury hair extension line that offers top quality, long-lasting Malaysian, Brazilian and Indian hair to women all over.
The company’s mission is “to provide the finest hair extensions available in the world to the discerning customer, focusing on the utmost in care and service possible, all while claiming Royalty as a birthright!” With African Americans having a spending power expected to reach $1.1 Trillion dollars, it’s rather distressing that only 6 cents of each dollar is spent on other black owned businesses. The company also offers distributorship opportunities to business-minded women who would like to venture into this industry but who do not have the capital or the know-how to go source these products overseas by themselves. This way, we can all support one another and financially build up ourselves and our own community.
