WTF AFRICA- MAN CONFESSES TO SELLING HUMAN PARTS
November 21st will ever remain indelible in the heart of Oloko villagers as members of the palace guard to the community leader of Ajara Topa community in collaboration with a vigilante group operating in the area arrested a man who allegedly eats and sells human parts to ritualists, operating from a hole he dug under the Gbaji bridge along the Badagry-Seme border.
Joshua Akindele, 56, who hails from Etokia Local Government in Ogun State was spotted by one Anthony Amos who watched him crawl into a hole under the Gbaji bridge, confessed that he had been into cannibalism and ritual killing for the past 15 years, after being introduced to the business by a friend who convinced him to stop driving popular motor cycle known as “Okada” which he claimed profited him a little, but could not sustain him.
He further said that he had been earlier sent to prison for 5 years after raping a 17-year old girl.
Speaking with Crime Guard, Akindele confessed that he was the brain behind the incessant killing within the village using ply woods to hit his human prey, and dragging them into the holes before splitting their parts for food and business… with ritual buyers.
In his statement “I have been in this business for the past 15 years after my friend advised me to stop riding okada and to join him in ritual killing and cannibalism”
When asked how he carried out his activities, he confessed “Whenever I see somebody walking alone without being conscious of who is watching, I walk slowing up to them and hit them with a big ply wood on their heads after which they fall unconscious, I then drag them into the hole and use a knife to cut them into parts which I sell to some churches and some ready buyers who indulge in ritual killing for easy money, and some times when I feel hungry late in the night, I eat some parts for food.
He confessed further that he sells the parts as follows: Heads 7,500, breast 1,500, penis 1000, hands and legs for 3,500.
Amos who is a member of a vigilante group in the area alerted other members of the group and palace guards of the Baale of Ajara Topa community to monitor the movements of Joshua.
He told Crime Guard that at about 1 a.m on 21st of November, he was on his normal routine watch when he noticed him (Joshua) crawling into the hole with a rice bag, he quickly alerted other members who confronted him with a gun and ordered him to drop and open what he was carrying. When he did, they discovered rotten human parts; skulls, legs, hands, breasts e.t.c.
Crime Guard visited the palace of the Baale of Ajara Topa community, Chief Samuel Amosu Owolabi, who after confirming the incident told Crime Guard that he was sleeping in his palace when an emergency call woke him with the caller informing him that a man had been arrested by members of his palace guards in collaboration with members of the vigilante group with human parts.
Chief Samuel said he quickly called Chief Patifo, Baale of Iyafin whom his community shared the bridge with to accompany him to the scene. When he got there, he noticed a mob had begun beating the suspect and only stopped after he begged them to let him live so that proper investigations will be carried out by the police.
Crime Guard confirmed the suspect was in the custody of the Badagry police division from a police source who pleaded anonymity.
PRAYER FOR PROTECTION- GOOD MORNING
Prayer for Protection
By James Dillet Freeman
The light of God surrounds us;
The love of God enfolds us;
The power of God protects us;
The presence of God watches over us;
Wherever we are, God is!
The “Prayer for Protection” is known the world over, and Unity is often asked how it came into existence. James Dillet Freeman explained once in his Unity Magazine column, Life Is a Wonder:
Let me tell you how I wrote Unity’s “Prayer for Protection.”
When World War II was raging in Europe, we received many letters and phone calls from people caught in the conflict, but for a long time we did not have a prayer for protection that we were all satisfied with. This is how one came.
Silent Unity has always written a special Christmas Prayer Service just for Silent Unity workers. And in 1940 I was asked to prepare this service. We had never before needed a prayer for protection, but in 1940 we needed one, so wrote one to go with the Christmas service. What I wrote was a little four-line verse:
“The light of Christ directs me; The love of Christ enfolds me; The power of Christ protects me; The presence of Christ upholds me.”
I had hardly finished this Christmas service before Silent Unity came to me again and asked me to write a protection pamphlet that we could send to people, so I did. It was called His Protecting Spirit.
They told me they wanted affirmative prayers for protection on the back page. Among these was the verse from the 23rd Psalm: “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me” (Ps. 23:4 KJV).
One of the young women who worked in Silent Unity was reading my manuscript as I wrote it, and as she finished it, she came up to me and said: “Jim, if I were a woman in England and they were dropping bombs on my roof, or if I were a soldier and someone was pointing a loaded gun at me, I wouldn’t want to feel like I was walking through the valley of the shadow of death. Can’t you do better than that?”
I thought, You want me to do better than the 23rd Psalm? You have to be out of your mind. But rolling around in the back of my mind was the little verse I had written as a prayer for protection at Christmas. I had written it just for Silent Unity, but now it came rolling up to the front of my mind and demanded that I pay attention to it. It enticed me to see what I could make of it. First I took the rhymes from it. I felt it would be more universally received if it was not a rhyme. Then I changed Christ to God. It had been Christ because it was a Christmas prayer, but I felt if we were going to send it around the world, God might be more acceptable to more people. So the little prayer became:
“The light of God surrounds me, The love of God enfolds me, The power of God protects me, The presence of God watches over me.”
That is the way we first printed it. Then a line came to me that I felt would make the prayer even more powerful. The line was:
“Wherever I am, God is.”
I added it as the fifth line. The “Prayer for Protection” first appeared as a four-lined prayer in 1941, but when we reprinted it in 1943, it appeared in the form it has had ever since.
“The light of God surrounds me; The love of God enfolds me; The power of God protects me; The presence of God watches over me. Wherever I am, God is!”
The “Prayer for Protection” came through change after change, not at all like “I Am There,” when I felt that God spoke those words to me. But what is the word of God? It is possible that no prayer Unity has ever printed has reached so many people as the “Prayer for Protection,” for not only has Unity printed it over and over, but almost every Unity church uses it to conclude its services. Like “I Am There,” it was carried to the moon. On the very first flight to the moon, on Apollo 11, astronaut Col. James Aldrin carried Unity’s “Prayer for Protection” with him. He did not know me or Unity.
It has appeared in hundreds of different publications that have no connection with Unity, and millions of people have carried it around on cards that fit into their pocketbooks, pockets, and billfolds. It has been translated into many languages. Sometimes it appears with me as the author. Often no author is given. Sometimes other people are named as the author.
It has been changed and changed again before it reached the form that it now has that best meets people’s needs. This prayer is the product of much thought and concentration and of a mind that was willing to stay open to receive divine inspiration.
I think Unity’s “Prayer for Protection” is as much God’s word as “I Am There” is. Sometimes God speaks to us when we don’t even know it is God. I think God has many ways of speaking to us and not only in words that we hear with our ears. I think God speaks to our hearts and minds, and sometimes God’s message has nothing to do with words. God is love and intelligence and life. More than anything we say God is, or even imagine God is, God is the one universal Presence and Power and is seeking to express Truth and beauty and good through all of us and for all of us.

HOW DO YOU MAKE IT GOOD…- SUNDAY DUGGUH DUGGUH
Good Sex Makes For A Lasting Marriage.
When it comes to choosing a lifetime partner, sexual attraction is huge.
As I’ve traveled the country speaking to women’s groups since “The Secret Lives of Wives” was published a year ago, I’ve fielded hundreds of questions on what it takes to stay married. Most of the queries have to do with how to sustain “intimacy”, a fancy word for sex. I’m hardly surprised about this prevailing obsession.
While researching the book there was lots of sex-talk during my interviews with 200 women in long-term marriages. Staying hot for each other was one of the primary reasons their relationships had endured, I heard from satisfied wives married more than 40 years.
One of my favorite stories came from 86-year-old Libby, married for half-a-century and a widow of five years:
“We never lost our physical attraction. I have to tell you, sex was always very, very good. This business that women over 70 don’t lubricate is bullshit: We had great sex nearly up until his death.
“I guess people would call us sex addicts because we thought about it and did it all of the time. My grown children now tell me, ‘When we were kids all our friends parents took them out on adventures on Sunday afternoons. You and Daddy closed the door at 1 p.m. on Sundays and didn’t come out until 4 p.m.”
Hundreds more husbands and wives reached out to me about the importance of sustaining sexual crackle when my blog post, “The Fine Line Between Marriage and Divorce,” appeared. One 77-year-old wife wrote me that her husband of 57 years still buys her Victoria’s Secret lingerie. The response to my blog — which is one of Huffington Post’s most viewed posts ever — re-affirmed my belief that sex matters big-time.
I heard over and over that the choice on whether or not to cross that line often had to do with what was going on, or not going on, in bed. Here is a typical letter from a 47-year-old wife who described her “dry two decades” of matrimony:
“I was never that sexually attracted to my husband, even when we were dating. But my family really urged me on — he had everything else going for him, successful parents, a good job. We were good friends. I figured sex would get better.
“It got worse, even after years of therapy. I am now trying to have my cake and eat it too — I am staying in this marriage as not to break up my family. But I am sleeping with another man.”
Of course, when scouting for the right mate you also want to find someone who listens, someone whose opinion you respect. You want someone who makes you laugh and who backs away from an argument before it turns into a nasty fight. You want someone who is not too stubborn to say, “I was wrong and you were right.”
You want a teammate, not a control freak.
Yet it is chemistry that you want most of all, and it is chemistry that makes the fights shorter and the relationship longer. Feeling sexual attraction and sexually attractive is a life force like nothing else. When our bodies are regularly stroked and our libido is ignited our outlook on life is hopeful and youthful, no matter how many birthdays we have had.
Sex is the crucial connection that keep things flowing in a marriage, not buckets of money, not a spouse’s lineage, not even the edicts of religion. The wife above in a sexless marriage is a “good Catholic” who defends her behavior with this: “God wants me to be happy.”
Take heed young men and women searching for a spouse. Make sure you pick someone that makes you tingle at his or her touch. Figure this out before you order the wedding invitations, hire a band and book the venue.
Sex does not get better with time if you never had the spark in the first place. Marriage means mortgages, dealing with icky in-laws, raising defiant children, getting older and larger. This does not make for a hot climate for sexual re-awakening if an initial awakening didn’t take place.
Chemistry is that magical ingredient that draws two people together and holds them together when things get tough, which they inevitably do. You cannot invent chemistry. It is either there or not there, a force of nature not of your own will. With a healthy sex life comes other good things, a sense of natural ease and good communication. These are the ingredients for a marriage that lasts.
I will leave you with a last word from 69-year-old Ed, married 40 years. This is his response to how he stays married:
“My wife and I have had our share of challenges, mostly because of problems with our children. But I am still intensely physically attracted to her, and I am certain she would say the same thing. We argue and disagree and have different views on things but because of that attraction, a part of me still always looks at our relationship like it is new. I will be 70 next month and my wife is 66, and I’m telling you that chemistry remains as strong as the day we met.
“Obviously sex is not as frequent as it was in the old days. In our 30s we once went 90 straight days having sex three times a day. Now I’m using some Viagra and we have sex about once a week. But it’s still as good as ever.”
“The Secret Lives of Wives” is released in paperback this week, and is currently being made into a Lifetime TV pilot.
