WHY DID GOD CREATE WOMAN-GOODMORNING

Why Did God Create Woman?

Welcome to Women’s Studies. In the following course, we will be digging into the Biblical truths about women in every aspect. It is the purpose of these studies for you to grow in the knowledge and fullness of why it is that God has placed you here on earth, to learn of His destiny for you as an individual and the purpose of all women world wide. The knowledge you gain here in these lessons will be invaluable and fundamental to you in your walk with the Lord and the pursuit of your heavenly inheritance. It will provide you with the tools you will need to make it through every minute of every day, and eventually, when you reach maturity in the Lord, you will be able to use these tools to train up other young women in the things of Christ and set them firmly in the way from the very beginning. Let us begin.

Genesis 2:18 – 24
18) Then the LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.” 19) Out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the sky, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them; and whatever the man called a living creature, that was its name. 20) The man gave names to all the cattle, and to the birds of the sky, and to every beast of the field, but for Adam there was not found a helper suitable for him. 21) So the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; then He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh at that place. 22) The LORD God fashioned into a woman the rib which He had taken from the man, and brought her to the man. 23) The man said, “This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.” 24) For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh. 25) And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed.

Q: What reason do you see for why God created woman?

A: It was not good for man to be alone. God created us to be man’s helper, to meet his every need, body mind and soul, that we might grow together in spirit and in truth, that we might encourage one another and spur one another on in all things. And that we might more fully in our finite minds understand the inner workings of God and His role in our lives. In women, we see humanity in its weak form, easily misled and beguiled, in man; we see God’s strength and unswerving authority. We need man’s headship and guidance to keep ourselves from falling away, and man needs God’s headship and guidance to show them how to lead us in all truth and righteousness. A good king needs compassion, understanding, respect, wisdom and authority and a servants heart. In the union of man and woman we see all these components brought together and knit in harmony for the happiness of the kingdom: their home. If a woman does her part to meet the needs of her husband, thereby freeing him to do the Lord’s work, she is being used of God to love and serve him physically the way God loves and serves him spiritually. Our husbands, free to hear the Lord speaking to them, are able to instruct us in the ways of the Lord. They are able to provide for us physically and love us not just from the heart but in all they do for us. They are being used of the Lord to love and serve us physically on His behalf. Perfect harmony and unity in home only comes from the authority structure given of God and from having Christ as the center of your home.

I have highlighted God’s reason for creating woman. Simply put, God saw that there was a lack. God is a triune Godhead (triune meaning three-in-one), the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. To fully make man in His image we must replicate that three part relationship. Until woman was created, there were only two parts, God and man, for as God works in three parts so also must we. God could just as easily have created us out of the dust from which He formed Adam, but He didn’t for a specific reason. If He had not brought us out of man, we would not be drawn man to woman and woman to man as we are. We would not have the need or the desire for each other as we do. We are to each other a missing piece of the puzzle in one another’s lives and God is the one that binds the two pieces together. It takes all three of us in unity, working together as one whole. For unmarried women it is God who fulfills both the role of God and the role that will later be filled by your husband when the Lord brings him along. He also provides you with spiritual headship and fellowship within the body of Christ so that you receive all the support and guidance you will need to press on in the Lord. It is a good thing for a woman to desire a husband, to desire a man to fill the role of headship.

Q: Do you see anything else of great importance in the above scriptures?

A: It is in woman’s nature (for we are created this way), to be a comforter. Just as the Holy Spirit who is THE comforter was brought to man, so also was woman (Eve) brought to man (Adam). God does these things to help us to know our role, what we were created for. But most importantly, I will bring you to the last verse. “25 And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed”. Christ is the husband and the Church is His bride. One day we will all stand before the Lord and He will lay us all bear to examine us and bear Himself to us so that we may know Him more intimately than we ever could in our earthly bodies. The main drive of this course is that when we do stand bare before Him, we too may not be ashamed.

Help, helper, help meet: SC 5826 ‘āzar: A verb meaning to help, to aid. It means to support, to give material or nonmaterial encouragement to a person. God was the one who helped His people (Gen 49:25). It describes people helping each other to accomplish goals. Also SC 5828 ‘ēzer: A masculine noun meaning helper, one who helps, help, aid. It refers to aid or assistance given, whether material or immaterial. It indicates persons who give help; the woman created as Adam’s complimentary helper.

1 Corinthians 11:8 – 12
8) For man does not originate from woman, but woman from man; 9) for indeed man was not created for the woman’s sake, but woman for the man’s sake. 10) Therefore the woman ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels. 11) However, in the Lord, neither is woman independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. 12) For as the woman originates from the man, so also the man has his birth through the woman; and all things originate from God.

Q: What are the different types of headship that God has established?

A: God himself, husbands, parents, priests or pastors and prophets (1 Corinthians 11:3, Ephesians 5:23)

In this we actually answer two questions. Firstly, who is our headship or spiritual covering? And secondly, who is man’s headship or spiritual covering?

God is a God of Love and we who are created in His image must mirror that love in our being and our lives. You can’t love if you have no one to share it with. God wanted a being that would love Him in return of his own freewill and for this reason we are created with the gift of choice. God loves us so much and without expecting anything in return and we are commanded to do the same. We are to love one another without expecting anything in return. But love well tended springs forth a mighty garden for all to enjoy if it is properly cared for and nurtured. God gave man and women to one another that we might in the physical experience the intimacy of God and are able to cherish and value that which cannot be bought at any price. In our lovemaking, we imitate Christ’s spirit intertwining with ours, drawing us ever closer to His heart, becoming one with us. In our bearing children we bring forth a physical manifestation of the fruit of our love. They are a constant reminder of our closeness, our love, of God taking both halves of us and himself being the glue, joins those two halves together, producing through our children the whole that we with our husbands have become. Our children in their neediness for care and attention, discipline and correction, teaching and training remind us that our love one to another and our love of God and God for us require these very things for it to thrive and live, without such as these we would all perish and die. Without such as these our children perish in a life of sin, rebellion towards authority and selfishness, caring for none but themselves, they are unable to genuinely love others. They are firmly on the path that leads to death in spirit and flesh.

Up until now, it may seem that these studies are specifically geared towards married women with children. But there are a great many beautiful young women in Christ who are yet unmarried or who do not have children. Let me reveal the other side of the coin for you to help you see where you are in Christ, for you are precious in His sight.

Psalm 45:9 –15
9) Kings’ daughters are among our noble ladies; at your right hand stands the queen in gold from Ophir. 10) Listen, O daughter, give attention and incline your ear: Forget your people and your father’s house; 11) Then the King will desire your beauty. Because He is your Lord, bow down to Him. 12) The daughter of Tyre will come with a gift; the rich among the people will seek your favor. 13) The King’s daughter is all glorious within; Her clothing is interwoven with gold. 14) She will be led to the King in embroidered work; the virgins, her companions who follow her, will be brought to you. 15) They will be led forth with gladness and rejoicing; they will enter into the King’s palace.

You are all daughters of the King, married or unmarried, and we in this ministry must take great care in our instruction to you that when your training is complete His expectations of you might be fulfilled in every area. You who do not have a husband as of yet, it may be that you yourself are not fully prepared to be a wife and mother, or you are just too young. Whatever the case may be, yours is a position that is to be greatly desired. As chief among all things, you are free in the things of the Lord. You may throw yourself headlong into the work of God, able to do His work night and day without constraint. He is your headship and your covering. He can deal with you directly and He will provide you with physical headship to watch over you so that you may not be alone and easily misled. He will provide you with counsel and wisdom from elders in the Lord who will pray for you and guide you in the truth and help you in your search for wisdom. He may even provide those of you who are not yet at a stage of maturity where you are able to thrive in the Lord with just spiritual headship with earthly parents who walk with Him to continue the nurturing care and development that is vital to you as a young woman in the Lord in gaining a full knowledge of how the Godhead functions.

As an unmarried woman, your submission is to God and those He has or will place in authority over you as your covering and protection.

Isaiah 40:11
Like a shepherd He will tend His flock, in His arm He will gather the lambs and carry them in His bosom; he will gently lead the nursing ewes.

So, praise the Lord for the place each of you have in life as a wife, a mother, or unwed woman. All are acceptable and pleasing in His sight if you walk with Him and allow Him total access to your full being. Allow Him who sees you as all-glorious and beautiful within to bring forth in you that which He alone sees for now and in time will be seen by all around you. “It’s no longer I that live, but Christ that lives in me.” He is our champion, our Lord, and our King. Let the Master Sculptor begin to mold and shape you.

Isaiah 64:8
But now, O LORD, You are our Father, we are the clay, and You our potter; and all of us are the work of Your hand.

To summarize, God created man for one purpose, which I will get to shortly. For firstly we must look at how God put us together to understand both the why and the how. The human body has many parts and many functions (Romans chapter 12). We were given a mind and free will that if we so choose, we will strive to conform our mind to become like the mind of Christ. We have hands to work and help, feet to carry the good news, a mouth to speak the truth, a stomach to fill with food to keep us growing and healthy, just as the Word of God fills us with all truth and keeps us growing in the things of God. Our body has a built in filtration system to help us retain what is good and purge us of that which will do us harm. Likewise we are commanded by God’s word to take each thought captive unto Christ, to examine all things and see if they are of God and proven by His word and right, to retain what is good and rid ourselves of evil. We are filtering our spirit. This is why we should thank God for bowels and bowel movements. Otherwise we would all be full of, well you know what I mean.

We have eyes to see where we are going, the dangers and pitfalls ahead of us, eyes that see to keep us heading in the right direction. We have ears to hear, for “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.” Read also Revelation chapter 2 and 3, “hear what the Spirit saith unto the church.” Through our eyes and ears we are able to see and hear, able to take it all in for our minds to interpret and judge what is of God and what is of Satan. When we were of the world we used them for worldly pleasures and escapism. Now that we have accepted salvation and we know God, we use them for the saving of our very lives, indeed the destiny of our souls.

We have a reproductive system, to make us understand that it does not end with us, that we are to go forth and plant the seed of truth and bring up other young ones in Christ Jesus when we reach maturity. Women were given a bosom, to comfort and nurture; men were given strength of loins and body that we might see both God’s compassion in its fullness and His strength and His ability to produce fruit and good things in our lives.

He created us in this fashion, with the body make up that we have, so that when we tie all things together we might see in the physical as much as God will allow us to see of how the Godhead functions and just how much He loves us, how much He wants to draw as close to us as possible, that all this was done for one purpose: “that we might know the Father.” This is why God created man and woman: that we could of our own free will CHOOSE to know and love Him as He willed to know and love us.

Luke 10:21 – 24
21) At that very time He rejoiced greatly in the Holy Spirit, and said, “I praise You, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, for this way was well pleasing in Your sight. 22) “All things have been handed over to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.” 23) Turning to the disciples, He said privately, “Blessed are the eyes which see the things you see, 24) for I say to you, that many prophets and kings wished to see the things which you see, and did not see them, and to hear the things which you hear, and did not hear them.”

Q: What new thing did you learn about yourself as a woman of God through this study, or what did you forget, that now being brought to your attention, will change the way you do things from now on?

Now use it and grow in God!
