MISSION JONAH JOHNSON

I spoke with Mr. Johnson who said that his livelihood is farming. However because of tough economic conditions he is unable to purchase the fertilizer needed to plant the cabbage he uses to survive.. The cost for a bag of fetilizer is $4000 and he heeds four bags, the cabbage seeds are $5000, he only needs one bag and he also needs a spray can which costs approximately $5000. Mr. Johnson went to see his children in St. Mary yesterday and says he feels much better because they seem happy and for that he is proud of them for holding on. It took almost 24 hours to go from where he is to St. Mary even though his cousin gave him a ride from St.Anns bay , Mr. Johnson left home at 8’30 am and returned home at 1 am this morning. Tomorrow he will be given another ride to Montego-Bay to see the other children. The land he lives on he said belongs to his grand-parents so it is ok to erect a building on it. For now it would be best to provide a temporary residence until the structure is completed and it would be best if the family rented for now. I am asking everyone to see what they can do, if not see if someone you know can donate to the family. The thread will be updated with the name that you can send the money to and it will go directly to Mr. Johnson but for now we will start by knocking out his survival tools while we work on getting him a place to rent.
