John 3:16 – What can I learn from it?

John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

God’s gift of infinite compassion is demonstrated in this verse. God’s love for us is overwhelming. Can you even think of an instance in your life where you would be willing to give up your child’s life to save someone else? Yet, God allowed His Son to bear all the sins of humanity on that cross. His death was necessary; someone had to pay the price for those who believe to have eternal life.

When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we WILL have everlasting life with Him. Accept Him and believe.

God will not push Himself on us. The gift of salvation is free. We have to open the door to our lives and ask Him to step through. Once we have done this, we have taken the first step to spend eternity with Him.

No matter the trial or tribulation you may be undergoing right now – Jesus has “been there and done that.” Nothing will separate you from the love that is in Christ Jesus.

We should walk this earth knowing that we will be with Him. If we ask Him, we can trust that He will go before us in everything we do. There is no place that He will not go with us. We are never alone. What an awesome gift.
