The police have shot and killed 24-year-old Amal Roman otherwise called Satan, who they had listed as a major person of interest in several crimes.

The Police said Roman and an unidentified man were shot and killed earlier today in Kent Village, St. Catherine.

The Police allegedly seized an AK-47 assault rifle, a 9 milimetre pistol and ammunition.

Roman was listed as a major person of interest and wanted man by the St. Catherine North Police for his reported involvement in several murders and shooting incidents as part of the Clansman gang.

Roman was alleged to be one of the main hit men for the gang.

The Bureau of Special Investigations has begun its investigation into the shooting, while the Independent Commission of Investigations has been informed.

The Police High Command is reminding members, particularly those operating in the parish of St. Catherine that the threat level against them remains at extreme, following today’s fatal shooting of Roman.

Extreme means that violent attacks against members of the security forces are imminent.

The Police High Command is also reminding members to take the necessary steps to protect themselves, their families and government property.
