Tony Matterhorn (born as Dufton Taylor Jr. on March 9, 1972 in Kingston, Jamaica) is a Jamaican dancehall deejay and selector.

 Biography

He is the fourth of seven children to Margie and Dufton Taylor, a singer. Matterhorn started as a DJ for Innercity Discosound system then migrated to the US where he became a back-up deejay in New York City, with King Addie’s sound system in the early 90s. He further established himself as an accomplished deejay with his lyrical and humorous abilities, especially at sound clashes worldwide. He toured Europe, Japan and the Caribbean extensively for stage shows and sound clashes.

Matterhorn’s worldwide popularity came in 2006, when he made a somewhat controversial song called “Dutty Wine” (Smash riddim). The song is also a dance performed by young women, and many “dutty wining” competitions take place in Jamaica. The success of “Dutty Wine” also allowed Matterhorn’s next single “Goodas Fi Dem” (Gully Slime Riddim) to get significant airplay in Jamaica, parts of North America and the United Kingdom.
