SUPER STALKER SENTENCED

On October 14, 2012, on the Topic Super Stalker, we were introduced to the ongoing criminal case where Tony** was charged with two counts of wounding Marcia**, his ex girlfriend (**not their real names). Both attacks happened just two days apart, with the second attack being the more serious where Marcia received multiple stab wounds to the body and had to be hospitalised. At one point Tony insisted that Marcia was the abusive one who inflicted the wounds on herself. Well, having been remanded in custody, Simon McDonald (his real name) was later found guilty in the St. Elizabeth Resident Magistrate’s Court and was sentenced to six months imprisonment for the first attack and two years imprisonment at hard labour for the second attack, both sentences to run concurrently, meaning he will only serve two years which equals to eighteen months with good behaviour. Simon is a young twenty odd year old barber from Junction, previously of an unblemished record but with an unrelenting obsession with his ex. He was initially charged with the more serious offence of Wounding with Intent. But the charge was reduced and tried in the Resident Magistrate’s Court and within eight months of the brutal attacks Simon was tried, found Guilty and carted off to the Tower Street Adult Correctional Center. His sister was in attendance, his brother absent, and both remained still before, during and after sentencing. By the way, it was said that Simon was being ‘filed for’ to go to England.
