Wayne ‘Captain Barkey’ Hamilton, known for hits such as Go-Go Wine and Bun Fi Bun was killed by hail of bullets along with his companion, Tracey Barrette in New York early Saturday morning.
Reports from multiple news sources say Hamilton was pounced upon by the estranged husband of Benette who had warned him multiple times to stay away from his wife. Several chilling shots were fired outside of the Motel where Benette and Hamiltion had met up. As reported, Hamiltion was killed first in the parking lot and the shooter went on to Benette who could be heard saying ”Please no” before losing her life a few feet from Hamilton.
Both lovers were allegedly in troubled relationships as both were married and were seemingly publicly involved. Hamilton, who is said to be married with children left his home in Wisconsin for the escapade and had most recently as August allegedly taken Benette on tour with him in Germany.
Inside sources give conflicting stories as to whether Benette was involved or estranged from her husband, but what is sure is that she has two children, a daughter who had just gone off to college in August and a young son. Friends are unsure of what Benette told her husband before she ventured out with Hamilton.
It is alleged that Hamiltion often complained about being uncomfortable at home, as his wife often encouraged him to seek employment which allegedly made Hamilton uncomfortable and sought comfort in Benette’s arms as she said to have provided for him. This may be the reason why even after being warned by friends about Benette’s husband, he proceeded with the relationship.

Benette , who lost a cousin her cousin Ewan Mcrea, a very popular figure in the dancehall fraternity, father suffered an almost similar fate. Tracy Benette, daughter of Stanford’ Domingo’Benette, who was from a popular well to do family from Black River, in the Parish of St. Elizabeth Jamaica. Stanford who had an affair with an employee,and caught her with companion and in a jealous fit, shot her several times. Stanford later committed suicide.

A 24-year-old Nkayi woman learnt that eating the back, breast and drumsticks of a chicken is forbidden in local culture after getting a thor­ough hiding from her husband before being dragged to a village court.

Traditionally, the back, chest and thighs of a chicken are a preserve for men. The incident happened a week ago.

Nomusa Sibanda of David Maphetshwana area slaughtered a cock­erel for her husband, Jabulani Ncube (40). While dishing out the meal, she parcelled out the gizzard, wings and a drumstick to the husband. The follow­ing day, Ncube was served with sitshala and dried green vegetables.

This did not go down well with Ncube, who probed her on what had happened to the rest of the chicken, more specifically the back, breast and thigh. The wife confessed that she had eaten the chicken parts and all hell broke loose. Ncube assaulted her.

The frightened wife bolted out and spent the night at a neighbouring homestead. The following morning, Ncube went and reported the matter to Head­man Maphetshwana, where she was found “guilty” and fined a chicken.

Her grandmother, known as Gogo MaDawu, was also summoned before the village court where she was charged with dereliction of duty arising from her failure to teach her granddaughter “how to treat her husband and dish out meals” and was also fined a cockerel which was slaughtered for the village committee to eat.

In an interview after the village hear­ing, Nomusa was remorseless.
“For how long shall I slaughter chick­ens and not taste the back portion?” she said.

Ncube hinted that he will divorce Nomusa if she repeats the “act.”
Other villagers interviewed on the issue said it was taboo for a woman to eat a chicken’s breast and back portions in local culture and branded Nomusa as “uncultured and disrespect­ful”.
