PRISONER BUT NO PRISONER

Roshan Shaw, one of the most dynamic personalities to have graced the Jamaican media was sentenced to three years for n six counts of money laundering and conspiracy to defraud in July of 2011. Shaw, who tried to pass himself off as politician Audley Shaw’s son, was also said to be involved in a fraudulent 911 call that caused the big raucous in the Unite States.

On March 17, police received a 911 call from a man who said he had killed his wife-to-be at a residence in the 2500 block of Garnet Peak Road and was planning to commit suicide.

“I shouldn’t have done it,” said the caller. “She’s not breathing and there is blood everywhere.”

The caller claimed to be Chris Bhoorasingh and told police he had just shot his fiancée, Jenny Thomas.

“She’s in the tub and the tub is full of water,” said the caller. “I tried to drown her also.”

Self proclaimed himself the owner of ”Geek Squad”, a sublet of a United States company Best Buy Shaw was interviewd by TVJ news trying to market ”his” product. Also known for his public recording of an affair with Ian Lyn and fraudulent payments to Flow, a Jamaican based company, for their online services

Always craving the spotlight, Shaw can now be found on facebook daily, although he is behind bars, he steadily updates his profile and often uploads pictures of his cell, often requesting that people call him.
Last week, Shaw uploaded a few pictures of his cell but quickly deleted them. In the pictures his place of rest seems to be a few well folded sheets on the floor but to his comfort there is a cd player, a dvd player, a charger for his cell phone and a haughty sized jug. This prisoner has been taken to prison but is no prisoner as he begs for people to watch an old clip of him on Smile Jamaica, a popular Television program in Jamaica. Where is the warden?
