BUMBO KLAAT” WAS THE TERM USED BY ANCIENT ZULU TRIBES IN AFRICA…BUMBO WAS A DEAD BODY WRAPPED IN SANITARY CLOTH OR TOWEL FOR BURIAL…AFRICANS WHO CAME TO JAMAICA WOULD USE THE WORDS “BUMBO KLAAT” AS A MEANS TO DEFY EVIL SPIRITS OR REMOVE EVIL SPELLS….SO WHENEVER ONE WOULD SEE A DUPPY (GHOST), THEY WOULD SIMPLE SAY….”MOVE YU BUMBO KLAAT” THE SLAVE MASTERS THE…N COULD NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT TH EY WERE SAYING & WOULD PUNISH OR KILL THEM…. THE LAW WAS PASSED (1948) IN JAMAICA TO LOCK UP ANY CITIZENS WHO USED THE WORD, “BUMBO KLAAT”…..EVER SINCE THEN JAMAICAN POLICE HAVE BEEN ARRESTING & KILLING PEOPLE FOR USING SUCH WORDS….SAYING THEY ARE BAD WORDS….THEY JUST KILLED A PREGNANT WOMAN FOR SAYING BUMBO-KLAAT……MY FELLOW JAMAICANS, WE MUST PUT A STOP TO THIS BUMBO-KLAAT….WAKE UP JAMAICAN GOVERNMENT… MY PHILOSOPHY IS “NO WORD CAN BE BAD, IF YOU CAN SPELL IT”….. PETER TOSH SAID….”LET THEM LOCK ME UP, BECAUSE MY GOD TOLD ME TO USE THAT WORD TO HOARD OFF EVIL”….TO BUMBO-KLAAT…..
