Popular female dancer Keiva Hibbert, more popularly known as ‘Keiva The Dancing Diva’, yesterday dismissed allegations that she was involved in a fight at her store, Keiva’s Kloset, located at Princeville Plaza on Constant Spring Road.
Initial reports were that on Friday, Keiva was beaten by another female, who believed that she was spreading badnews about her. Since then, the incident has been popping up on various entertainment and social networking websites.
Keiva spoke to THE STAR yesterday in an attempt to clear the air as to what had happened.
people carry news
“I would really appreciate that when people carry news that they carry it the right way. I understand that my name is on a popular website with wrong information,” she said.
“First and foremost, I wasn’t involved in a fight with anyone. We had a small disagreement in my store, Keiva’s Kloset, and now I’m surprised to hear that I was beaten. This girl is so desperate to win a fight that she had to resort to telling people she beat me up. Well, since you’re looking for your five minutes of fame let me take five minutes out of my busy schedule and give it to you.”
Keiva went on to say that she does not stand for negative attention on her career as she is an independent young woman who has worked hard to achieve what she has.
“I won’t allow you (Bobiesha) to drag my name in the dirt. You’re a very popular girl and I’m a very famous lady, that’s two different labels. I am famous for being a dancer from the age of eight, plus I am the proud owner of my store,” Keiva told THE STAR.
denied the allegations
Although Keiva seemed rather heated, Bobiesha Jackson calmly denied the allegations.
“Nothing like that, there was no fight, no altercation,” she told THE STAR. She laughingly said she initially thought she was being contacted about her party, Pretty Girl Rock, that will be held at 5 Springvale Avenue, St Andrew, on Friday.
“I think that girl is just seeking attention. I don’t speak to her and I think she is trying to find out why,” Bobiesha added.
The dancer also apologised to her fans, friends and family for the negative publicity as a result of the incident.
“I want to apologise to everyone for having to know that I’m in the media for this negative nonsense, as I don’t wish to be if it’s not something positive,” she said.
