A family’s worst fears were last evening realised with the discovery of the bones of their missing loved one in a burning oven at a small bakery along Collins Green Avenue where he worked in Kingston.
The victim was identified by his mother, Violet Denton, as 30-year-old Oneil Douglas of a Manache Lane address in Kingston 5.

Scores of onlookers, who gathered at the scene, decried the gruesome find as family members broke down in tears and vowed to get justice for their relative, who they believe was murdered.
Police officers from the Cross Road Police Station, who were processing the scene, declined to comment.
However, Douglas’ sister Sherine Graham told the Observer that her brother did not return home on Monday after leaving for work.
According to Graham, Douglas’ remains were discovered about 5:00 pm inside the lit oven. Blood stains and a large stone with spots of blood were seen inside the bakery, which had closed for the day, Graham said.
“It look like someone knock him out with a stone and then throw him in the oven. No work [not going on] today, no bread [not baking] and big fire round there,” said a tearful Graham.
Her mother, who was standing nearby, also broke down in tears and had to be consoled by her sister Annmarie Goulbourne, who, too, was crying.
“Oneil get an awful death. Me caah believe him gone,” Denton wailed. “Why dem kill him like that? Him is not a troublemaker, him nuh deserve a death like that.”
