REMEMBERING ROMARLEY, FEBRUARY 2,2013
Dear Ramarley supporters,
I am sending this email as a reminder about the memorial that I will be having for my son Ramarley Graham. Saturday February 2nd will be one year since NYPD cop Richard haste kicked off my locked apartment door and murdered my then 18 year old son in front of my mother and my then six year old son. As I am writing this email, I am cringed to be reminded of the day I received a call at work to come home quickly because something terrible went wrong an experience I would never wished for any parent. I also am reminded of the outpouring of support I received from people near and far but the anger I bear will never go away. The death of my son by a police officer will bring a lot of changes to the way police conduct their job and Richard Haste will constantly be reminded of the vibrant, bright and loving young man he ripped from my arms.
I am asking again for your support this Saturday as we gather at 2:00pm in front of the house where Ramarley once lived. We will have a candle light vigil at 3:00pm which will then be followed by a march to the 47th prescient where the Richard Haste worked. We will then marched to the church where Ramarley was given his final send off and conduct a prayer service.
Please spread the word because people are still in the dark about what happened and they can come hear it from a mothers mouth.
Thank you ever so kindly for your continuous support.
Constance Malcolm
