SUMTING IN DI WATER A JA?

Paula Gordon, Star Writer
Police swooped down on a gay club in Half-Way Tree, St Andrew, yesterday, after a dispute developed between several cross-dressers who were patrons there.

Information reaching THE STAR is that the undercover club was the scene of an incident in which several high-end vehicles, owned by the club goers, were damaged after they had a disagreement.

It is understood that the cross-dressers were clad in blonde wigs, high heels and short dresses. Added to that they sported well-polished make-up.

Andrewwho was nearby when the dispute erupted, said, “I was passing and saw a lot of cops, a lot of commotion in terms of fighting and who mashing up whose car.”

Another source said, “There was a huge commotion because some of the gay guys were fighting over territories. There was one who drove a Range Rover, his windscreen was smashed and one of the rear lights. Acid was brought into play by another one who drives an Infinity SUV.”

Further, he explained that, A group of men were in the club and one particular person tried to enter and the club owner told him that he was not welcomed. He lay in wait on those inside until the club was closed and that started the commotion. The owner had no choice but to call the police. For the onlookers the discovery was shocking and the behaviour scandalous.

“It was kinda shocking, I mean in Half-Way Tree, if it was like up in St Andrew hills that would be understandable,” Andrew said.

In the meantime, THE STAR understands that this is not the first time the police have visited the club which opens on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The club is reportedly unregistered.

“At one point in time van loads of police came there and lock off the sound system and ordered that the club be closed so I don’t know what kind of arrangements he and they have,” a source said.

Up to news time, efforts to get a comment from the Half-Way Tree police proved futile.
