THANK YOU JEAN MCDERMOTT
Meet Jean McDermott, the pillar behind the Johnson family. I would like to extend my most gracious of thanks to her and the bloggers for extending themselves to the Johnson family. Again I want to thank Serenity, S. Mcfarlene, Highly Concerned who took the time out to visit with Ms. McDemott , donated and took these pictures for us.
Ms.McDermott will be meeting with the Parish Council tomorrow with the intention of expediting the Johnson family’s new home. Mr. Johnson still needs all the help he can get but Ms. McDermott a mere volunteer is nothing short of an angel in the help she has provided for the family thus far. Thank you!

I would be one of the first to admit and acknowledge that colonialism, in whatever form, was oppressive and nasty to those who were forced to submit to it. I don’t think the Anglo Saxons enjoyed it when they were invaded by the Romans. At the same time not all the colonizers were bad – in many instances they taught the locals new skills. The British, with the Gin soaked Governors were not generally good examples. Look what they did to the Afrikaaner?
Somehow the Asians who were also colonized don’t seem to bear the same grudges towards their former colonial masters that Africa does. Why is this? In fact nearly all former Asian colonies remain on good terms with strong and expanding economic links. Why the difference?
…
•Hypocritical Americans destroyed Rhodesia
—————————————————————————————————————————-
If you look at what happened in North America – the invaders nearly wiped out all the native people and almost completely wiped out all the local cultures, traditions and languages. I do not know the exact figures but out of about 106 different tribes and languages less than a dozen remain! The Americans apologise for slavery but in my opinion what they did to the native Americans is absolutely disgusting and far far worse – because many of the native American Indians had wonderful cultures and traditions and were so in tune with nature and the way it worked.
And it is precisely because of their painful conscience that the United States of America was so vocal and hostile towards white Rhodesians and South Africans. They used us as a tool or instrument to try and distance themselves, in the eyes of the rest of the world, from their own very ugly racist past by actively showing or demonstrating hostility towards us and our policies. They used us as convenient scapegoats! The Brits did the exact same thing! We took major flak from our own ancestors and to this very day are still regarded by them as unrepentant racists bent on trying to deny blacks equal status. Through massive publicity in just about every tabloid and TV network they hammered us and this is precisely how they conditioned the minds of their naive public into thinking the way they did and still do. No question about it, they used us white Rhodesians as the flogging boys to make them appear less racist and more culturally tolerant… and I have to acknowledge that to a large degree they were successful at it.
The Brits and Americans will naturally deny such accusations, not wanting to be seen or viewed as hypocrites with different standards for different cultures and people. But the evidence is glaringly obvious! After all, does it not stand to reason that if the Americans and British were genuine and really against all forms of oppression and genuinely concerned about the plight of people on this continent then they would have been equally vocal and hostile towards some of the black dictators, who, in actual fact have been far more cruel and oppressive compared to what any of the colonials ever were! Yet, to a very large extent they remain silent! So what does this tell you? Are the Americans and Brits for real?
To just demonstrate their hypocrisy, think back in history to that period when Jimmy Carter and then Ronald Regan were in power and the huge noise they made about colonialism and how bad it was? Yet right at that very time the American administration was actively supporting Mobutu Seseko in Zaire, a man who publicly executed 6 of his Ministers at a football stadium in Kinshasa one Saturday morning
Mobutu Seseko
and did huge damage to his people and economy. Yet amazingly that very same leader was invited to the United States as a personal guest and described by President Reagan as one of America’s best friends! Isn’t this absurd? It would seem that if you have the press behind you, you can condition people’s minds into thinking and believing anything!
I know for a fact that many of the whites who were born and grew up here on this continent(Africa) very much want to be part of it. So many of my friends that we forced into exile and are living in the UK absolutely loathe living over there – they long to be back in Zimbabwe and constantly about it. One such friend who had been living in the US hated it so much that he returned to Zimbabwe and said,
“Despite all the hardship I honestly prefer living under someone like Mugabe than living in the US.”
