A JAMAICAN IN THE MIX
FOX 10 News – Phoenix, AZ | KSAZ-TV
PHOENIX –
There was a big drug bust by MCSO Thursday night. They confiscated guns, thousands of pounds of marijuana, and nearly $350,000 in cash.
But this bust was big for another reason.
Thursday’s raid went down near 92nd Avenue and Encanto.
Several dozen deputies, including members of the swat team, took part — and that includes posse member and movie star Steven Seagal.
When a town car rolled up to the scene of the bust, our photographer did some investigating. He soon discovered that sheriff’s deputies had a little help from Hollywood.
Actor Steven Seagal got in on the action.
You’re used to seeing him in on the big screen in big blockbuster movies, but last night FOX 10 cameras caught Steven Seagal on the streets of Phoenix.
“As far as I know we got some bad guys, some cash and some dope,” said Seagal.
That’s all he said about last night’s bust — and here’s what MCSO says.
Sheriff’s deputies recovered 800 pounds of marijuana in a house near 89th Avenue and McDowell, along with $350,000 in cash hidden in several suitcases
Four people were taken into custody on drug related charges.
A semi automatic rifle and a semi automatic pistol were also seized.
The heavily armed Hollywood hero has taken part in previous Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office busts as a member of Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s posse.
In 2011, the honorary deputy helped bust a suspected cockfighting ring and filmed it for his reality show “Lawman” on A&E.
Suspect Jesus Llovera later sued the actor and MCSO, saying that the SWAT team and tanks were unnecessary, and that they were just used for the show.
Llovera also claimed that the bust led to the death of a German shepherd puppy.
Seagal and MCSO said it wasn’t part of an act. But was Seagal’s role in Thursday night’s bust a TV stunt?
He appeared to be wearing a camera on his head — but the sheriff’s office hasn’t returned our request for a comment on Seagal’s presence.
Sheriff Arpaio did tell us that he’ll be concentrating on street level dealers using a special unit of deputies and crime suppression operations.

Nine alleged strippers appeared before a magistrate late Monday afternoon accused of offending decency laws.
The women — eight Jamaicans and a Bahamian — were arrested on Friday night at the Copacabana nightclub on West Bay Street.
Club owner, Dennis Palomino, who at times serves as a Spanish and Portuguese interpreter in the courts, denied a charge of allowing the premises to be used for performing without a license. Palomino, 44, who was represented by Myles Laroda, was the only defendant with a lawyer.
With tears in their eyes, the disheveled women were arraigned before Deputy Chief Magistrate Carolita Bethell on charges of gross public indecency for allegedly dancing while partially nude.
Three of the women, Doreen Taylor, Colecia Peake and Bahamian Chatel Hill, faced a charge of soliciting prostitution in addition to the indecency charge. Hill is also accused of giving PC 2900 Hepburn a false name.
Taylor admitted the indecency charge, but denied the charge of solicitation. Peake admitted all charges, while Hill denied them all.
Tanelia Salmon, Cornelia Chambers, Latoya Depass, Stacyann Andrews, Sabrina Scott and Lamore Adams all pleaded guilty to the indecency charge.
Magistrate Bethell remanded the defendants into custody until Thursday. At that time, the prosecutor will read the case summary in relation to the defendants who pleaded guilty. She will also set trial dates and consider bail for those who entered not guilty pleas.
The Jamaicans will also be arraigned for alleged immigration violations at their next court appearance.

MR AND MRS SHELTON?
Wife and Mate-Wife third person diary of Luton Shelton
Young man : I lighted out of Tivoli Garden, giving much thanks to God for my football talent, now all who I could not get I am passing through. My little meagre baby mother Bobbette will be right here when my time is up. My hair will just continue to peel until then. I don’t need Rogaine.
This is the life of a newly privileged young man,who can buy almost anything he wants and has found out that women are merely wants and not needs. Luton Shelton, the footballer who scored last week, is said to be living a double life. In Jamaica, resides the mother of his child, Bobbette. It is said that he admitted to Bobbette a year after being with his girlfriend Marina for over a year, that he was involved with someone and lived with them. Bobbette was devastated but has clearly not lost hope
Earlier this year, Marina went to visit his family, stayed at his home, that was built over three years ago Her facebook captioned the picture ”our home”.
. Marina and Luton appears to be married but the real gossip here is that he has toured extensively with this young woman and although he has told Bobbette about her, a few hours after Marina left, Mr. Shelton was seen around town with his child’s mother, Bobbette. Marina wanted to return to Jamaica because according to her online journal she missed her HUSBAND terribly. Luton however, was having a wonderful time with his long time lover Bobbette.
Last weekend, for the games, Marina went to Jamaica, of course to watch her husband play, Bobette was told not to show up at the stadium. Sources say his nervousness may have attributed to his excellent performance but why a secret wedding?
– Bobbette how many more years will you play doormat?
