DUDUS UPDATE
Tomorrow, September 7, 2010 , will be the beginning of Christopher ”Dudus” Coke’s trial. Mr Coke’s lawyers seem optimistic that they will be able to prove his case and overthrow the charges that the D.A and Federal government are trying to convict him on. The Key witness (Witness 1), is said to be an American born , male of Jamaican parentage who was sent to Jamaica to befriend Mr Coke. This youngman hails from Carpenter Ave., in the Bronx. Dudus is said to be in good spirits despite loosing a lot of weight and missing his mother whom he has not heard from since his arrival into the United States. Mr Coke has been allowed calls but none outside of the U.S at present. It is also said that the main culprit in this case was already held, an individual known by the name Uri , Huey, who because of his lack of coperation with the U.S government , somehow fueled the fire in the persuance of Mr Coke.

With talk about juiced-up athletes doing the rounds in early 2008, track and field
was praying for a star. The sport got more than it bargained for that summer when sprinter Usain Bolt won three gold medals in remarkable fashion at the Beijing Olympics.
The sprint sensation lets it all hang out in Usain Bolt: My Story 9.58, his newly released autobiography in which he declares his intention to retire from sports in 2016, his desire to build a huge home with a rotating bed and the fact that, while moving to a new home earlier this year, he lost his world championship medals.
The 280-page book which Bolt co-wrote with British sports writer Shaun Custis, was released last week by HarperCollins, and will be distributed locally by Ian Randle Publishers.
Bolt looks back at his remarkable feats at the Bird’s Nest Stadium in Beijing, where he won the sprint double in record times. He then teamed up with Asafa Powell, Michael Frater and Nesta Carter to win the 4×100-metre relay in another world-best time. The following year, Bolt won the sprint double at the world championships in Berlin, setting a new world record for the 100 metres in a jaw-dropping 9.58 seconds.
But, according to a press release, My Story is not just about life on the track. It looks at “the highs and lows, the dedication and sacrifice to get to the top. It’s about fast food, partying, fast cars, dancehall music and that lightning-bolt pose.”
Usain Bolt is regarded as, arguably, the greatest athlete ever. Many believe his superlative achievements in Beijing and Berlin eclipsed American Jesse Owens’ amazing four gold medals at the Berlin Olympics in 1936.
Like Owens, Bolt grew up in humble surroundings. He revisits his days as a prodigy at William Knibb High School and growing up in the sleepy district of Sherwood Content, where he dreamt of becoming a professional cricketer or footballer. He talks about dealing with his superstar status, rubbing shoulders with other high-profile sportsmen like former Manchester United (now Real Madrid striker) Cristiano Ronaldo and how he meticulously monitors his new-found wealth, noting that he constantly reviews his bank statements and personally reviews all his contracts.
Bolt also opens up about little-known disappointments, like losing his world championship medals while moving in to a new home. He said the medals somehow got misplaced during the moving process and had not reappeared up to the time of writing. He also talks about his plans to retire after the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and his dream to someday own a Lamborghini sports car.
He shares that he currently owns six vehicles, all black, his favourite colour.
Bolt suffered his first defeat in nearly three years to arch-rival Tyson Gay of the United States, last month at the Diamond League meet in Stockholm. He then called an early end to his season, citing injury.
Last week, he began the promotional tour for My Story in Britain. He appeared on the British Broadcasting Corporation and was the subject of a feature piece in the Independent newspaper

Charismatic, sexy and lyrically lethal are words that could be used to describe the fast rising lady DJ Spice, who from her first major appearance at Sting 2000 made it clear that she was in the business to stay. Unfazed by the huge crowd that faced her Spice delivered an awesome performance earning four encores in the process. There was no doubt about it, she made dancehall world stood up and took notice. Hailing from the Old Braeton community in St. Catherine Grace Hamilton aka Spice was an avid lover of music. While attending St. Catherine High School she, year after year entered the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission’s (JCDC) festival contest in music, singing her way through the judges hearts and winning a gold medal each time for her school. Although she was good at it, Spice never really thought she would end up working full time in the music industry. She was too busy focusing on her school work – so much so that she graduated fifth form with all of eight subjects. With a career in chartered accounting in mind and plans to go on to sixth form somewhere along those lines Spice decided she would much rather focus on a music career. With that decision made she enrolled at the Edna Manley School for the Visual and Performing Arts to do voice and drama. Spice got the break she was looking for in 1999 when she appeared on a show Nuffy had at the time on JACS cable called Many Moods of Nuffy. After her exposure she started getting a lot of positive feedbacks from friends and those who had seen her – all encouraging her to take it up as a career. Soon Spice went from straight singing into dabbling into dejaying and found out she really had the crowd going when she did…it didn’t take her long to focus on where her strength was – as a DJ. In 2000 Heavy D from Supreme Promotions saw her dejaying and wasted no time in giving her the chance to perform at Sting 2000…needless to say his confidence was well merited. Early 2002 Spice went on a tour in England with Ward 21 and Baby Cham. With no hit to her credit, Spice totally devastated the audience and in the process earned the respect of Baby Cham. He wanted to know why she didn’t have songs flooding the airwaves. She confessed to not having the links to establish herself. He assured her he would introduce her to Dave Kelly when he went back home…a promised he kept and saw her releasing her first single for Mad House, ‘Mi Gone’ on the Pretty Pretty rhythm did well both locally and overseas. That same year she returned to Sting stage with a performance that left Elephant Man in her shadows! Spice went on to later record ‘Hype’ and ‘Right There’ (with TOI) on Dave Kelly’s Bad Gal rhythm and the videos for them created even more inroads for her. When she released ‘Fight Over Man’ it created a rave in the dancehall. A lot of female artistes find that pregnancy slowed them down, but not Spice she took it in strides making her probably the only artiste who worked through her pregnancy, giving birth to h
