1. Arrest warrant issued for Movado

A warrant for the arrest of dancehall artiste, Mavado, was issued following his non-appearance in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, butt his Attorney Tamika Harris was successful in urging the Resident Magistrate to stay the execution of the warrant, until the artiste’s next court appearance.

2. US Official accused of accepting bribes for visa to be sentenced

A US State Department law enforcement officer who in February pleaded guilty to accepting bribes to help a well-known Jamaican musician gain an American visa, is to be sentenced today.
