Teacher hospitalised following attack at Primary School
2 hours 12 minutes ago
A female teacher at the Dunrobin Primary School in St. Andrew was hospitalised after being attacked by two men while teaching a Grade 6 class today.
It is understood that a student had not completed a homework assignment and she reprimanded the student, who in turn sent a text message to complain about the incident. Sometime after 10am, two men gained access to the school by using false identifications and entered the classroom while the teacher was having a class session. It is understood that the men instructed the students to remain silent, while one of the men attacked the teacher. Following the assault the men then left the classroom and minutes after the students made an alarm to other officials at the school. The injured teacher was rushed to hospital, however the extent of her injuries are unknown. The Police are now on the scene conducting investigations.
