TOO MUCH TO FORGIVE?

Forgiveness

She broke my heart, but I can’t stop loving her
Dear Taiwo,
I believe I can count on you to help me out of this predicament I am in. I believe love is a sweet thing and it is the best thing that can happen to anybody. But my girlfriend of over six years just proved me wrong. She gave me a bitter pill to swallow recently which gave me a different outlook to life entirely.

I am 26 years old and I finished my youth service (NYSC) in July last year. Fortunately, to the glory of God, I secured a job with a federal hospital in November. With this, I felt I was on the road to a good future with the woman I love but she shattered my dreams.

She is 25 years old and we have dated for about six years, her confession confused me and at the same time made me sad because it showed me that I never knew the lady I had been with all these years. I thought she loved me and was faithful to me like I have always been to her, but I was very wrong.

One fateful evening, recently, she paid me a visit. We were talking generally when I returned from work and all of a sudden she started crying.

I was shocked because what we were discussing did not warrant any form of cry. I tried to calm her down so that she could talk. Eventually, she started by pleading with me to forgive her. “What for?”, I asked. She then confessed to me that she had cheated on me several times, and that she was dating three other guys alongside me. She confessed to going to their houses and having sex with them exactly the way she does with me.

I was shocked and I asked why? Her answer shocked me the more because she said she does not love me, because if she does, she wouldn’t have dated these other guys nor had sex with them.

She also said that she dated and had sex regularly with a seminarian which led to the expulsion of the guy from the seminary. She went ahead to tell me about other sex partners she kept too.

This is a lady I invested so much in, my time, money and emotions. I trusted her so much and I loved her too.

At the initial stage when I started dating her, my mother did not like her, but I made sure I brought them together and made my mother promise to treat her the way she would treat me.

As an only child, my mother would do anything for me; anything that would make me happy. Now, see what she has done, would it be fair if I told my mother what she did?
Although, I don’t know why she told me all these, but she said she regretted every action and she wanted me to forgive her. I was shocked by her revelation. I am also sad because I still love her. It is very strange, but I love her so much. The problem now is that I cannot trust her one bit again, so it becomes difficult for me to continue with her, though sad. But there is no way I would forget all what she told me, and the moment I remember, I cannot see myself having anything to do with her again.

I asked her to leave after telling me all these and I told her without mincing words that I cannot continue with our relationship again. She has since been pleading with me. At a level, she solicited my mother’s help, although she did not tell her my reason for calling off our relationship. My mum has since been on my neck to take her back. I wonder how she would feel if I let her know why I decided not to have anything to do with her again.

Should I tell my mother? How can I stop loving her? Please, help me.
Tony.

Authorities have zeroed in on the callous gunman who fatally shot a 14-year-old girl who was riding on a Queens bus, cops said Thursday night.

Police believe Kevin McClinton, 21, squeezed off at least nine rounds into the side of a Q6 bus on May 18. One shot hit D’aja Robinson in the head. The Queens teen had just left a friend’s Sweet 16 party and was going with pals to another birthday bash. She died at the scene.

A witness told investigators a man named Kevin fired the shots, a police source said. The witness also said a man with the alleged gunman counted down from 10 before the shooter opened fire, the source said.

Investigators believe the gunman was pointing at another teenage girl when he shot D’aja.

SICK IN EVERY SENSE

When she’s not busy participating in hyper-colorful Japanese environmental TV shows or lodged in an East London office brainstorming on the future of the future, 32-year-old Ai Hasegawa’s concerns are no different than those of any woman her age: the relentless tick-tick-ticking of her biological clock.

Another thing she’s into is eating cute little animals. Yet pesky environmentalist ethics make indulging in her passion for dolphin flesh a heart-breaking no-no.

Torn between her need to give life and her concern for the uncertain fate of tasty endangered species, Ai Hasegawa has found a way of merging both: by giving birth to these animals herself. Being skeptical, I called to ask her if there was the slightest chance this idea could ever reach European shores, like dancing robots, 3D glasses, and all the other weird shit that Japanese nerds have been pumping out into the world for the last half a century.

VICE : Hello Ai. Where did this idea of giving birth to sharks come from?
Ai Hasegawa: I’m 32. It’s a good age for a woman to think about giving life. But having a real child isn’t that simple. You have to give them a happy life. You can’t abandon them. I think simply wanting a baby isn’t a good enough reason to have one.

Well, it’s a good start.
We’re soon going to be facing a global food shortage crisis. How on earth are we going to feed new humans? But I still want to give life, I don’t want 30 years of painful menstruation to have all been in vain. And I want to eat good meat.

Is Carrying the fetus of another species technically even possible?
It will be, in the near future. A human uterus is just the right size to hold one fetus. I’ve been speaking to a gynaecologist about ways of making it bigger. I believe humans could use their uterus as an aquarium or incubator.

Wouldn’t there be compatibility issues between a human placenta and a shark’s?
The placenta comes from the fetus, not the mother, meaning there’s no need to modify human DNA. I’ve been assured that it should be possible to create “dolph-human” or “shark-human” placentas just by modifying the animal’s DNA. I’m still doing the research, but sharks seem to be the most compatible. And as a species, sharks fit all my criteria: They’re endangered, their life-span is almost as long as that of a human, and most importantly, they’re delicious.

Do you think women will accept carrying animal fetuses?
Carrying a shark fetus inside your uterus means you have to stop menstruating. But the medication for that has very unpleasant side-effects. I think the ideal carrier profile would be a rich, single, and above all menopausal woman.

And what are the advantages of doing this?
We don’t need any more humans, there are too many already as it is. Mostly, it’s a way of preserving endangered species.

And it would be a new way of producing food. Because you could eat the shark baby after it came out. Which is a totally logical thing to do.
Exactly! And you would no longer feel the guilt of eating another animal. It’s also less costly than raising a human, and there are fewer responsibilities. I find it less terrifying than adopting a child you might end up not loving.

Which animal would be the most dangerous to carry?
The elephant, because of its size.

OK, and the coolest?
The simplest would be the chimpanzee, because its DNA is the closest to ours. But I’m not interested in chimps, because I don’t eat monkey. Personally, I’d love to give birth to a Maui dolphin. They’re super cute and smart, we could easily communicate, and they’re very loveable. It would be great to swim with them out at sea. Besides, I love a good piece of dolphin meat on my plate, but every time I feel bad for eating an endangered animal.

Ah. I thought you’d choose a shark.
I love sharks, too. They’re almost as intelligent as dolphins. My favorite kind of shark is the zebra shark. They’re sort of roundish and have the cutest little faces—kind of like a puppy!

Would people actually agree to eat meat that came out of a woman’s insides, do you think?
Yes. After all, there are some animals who eat their own babies. And we do eat veal, which comes from inside a cow. We even kill people, not even for food, and they too come out of somebody’s womb. I really don’t see the problem.

Do you think these animals will taste better?
I think you’d have to let them back into the wild for some time in order for them to taste just like the ones we’re used to.

That makes sense. Would you eat a dolphin you’ve given birth to?
I would once it’s dead. Ideally, I’d be able to track its whereabouts with a GPS. And once it’s sold on the markets, I’d buy it and eat it. That way I would have it back inside my body one last time.

You certainly seem to have thought it through. Thanks, Ai!

WTF AFRICA- MAN CAUGHT SELLING HUMAN HEAD

man-sell-b-Optimized

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a grandfather, Mr. Segun Kayode, for allegedly exhuming and selling human parts.

According to the police, the suspect, who works at a cemetery in Epe area of the state, sold human parts for a living, adding that he had become notorious in the area for selling human parts.

It was learnt that the suspect was arrested following a report by a resident who saw him displaying a skull for sale.

The grandfather, who could not give his exact age, said he started selling human parts because he was poor and jobless.

He said:

“I live at 2,Tungbehin Street, Epe. I have two children and I am a grandfather. I have always been poor all my life because I had no formal or informal education. I used to be a fisherman but when there were no longer fishes in rivers in my area, I became a gardener at Epe Local Government Secretariat.

“About four years ago, the LG said they no longer needed my services so I started trimming grass at a cemetery in the area.”

The suspect, who did not deny the allegations, said there was nothing wrong in selling dead people’s parts since the dead never used them.

He said one day, while he was clearing weeds in the cemetery, he noticed a human skull which had been dug up.

He said, “Most times, when a corpse is not buried with a coffin, the possibility of the corpse resurfacing is very high. So, what workers at the cemetery do is to gather some of the corpses and burn them instead of burying them again.

“I realised that this was not a smart thing to do since it would be better to make money from it. The families of these dead people never care about them once they are buried and weeds had taken over the cemetery.”

The suspect said he sold only two corpses while he had on numerous occasions given them out for free.

He said, “I have sold only two human heads. I sold the first one for N1, 000 while I sold the second one for N1, 500. Last week, a resident approached me saying an herbalist needed the head so I got a decomposed head, for him, washed it and put it on a fence to dry.

“A resident saw me and raised the alarm and that was how I was arrested.”

PUNCH Metro had reported last week that five people, including an herbalist, were arrested for selling human parts.

A police source told one of our correspondents that the trend was common in areas where public cemeteries were situated.

“Areas which are not located in the metropolis and have cemeteries have become the hideout for cartels which specialise in sale of human parts. We (police) have reason to believe that some of these human parts dealers also engage in ritual killing,” he said.

The source added that efforts were going on to arrest other human parts sellers in the area.

When contacted on the telephone, the spokesperson for the state police command, Ngozi Braide, confirmed Kayode’s arrest. She said he had been transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba.
