KINGSTON, Jamaica — Residents of McKoy Lane off Spanish Town Road this morning took to the streets to protest the fatal shooting of a community member by the police.
The dead man has been identified as 39-year-old Donovan Johnson, also called ‘Humpy’.

The irate residents said that Johnson was roused from his sleep by a team of cops just after five this morning. They claim the cops shot him as he opened his door.
Protesters, mostly females, used boards, tyres and other debris to block Spanish Town Road forcing traffic to be diverted to Marcus Garvey Drive and other routes.
The scene was processed by the Independent Commission of Investigations.
